Ports & Maritime Organization
PMO
The implementation of state sovereignty on the coasts and ports to provide the necessary facilities for expansion of maritime commerce, coastal communications and collection of the prevalent emolument and tolls are parts of PMO duties which were set at 25 November 1814 AD.
In 1949, the General Agency of Ports and Shipping was founded in Roads Ministry instead of General Directorate of Ports.
On 25th May 1960, the General Agency of Ports and Shipping was changed to Ports and Shipping Organization and its responsibilities and authorities were increased.
On 31st May 1961, this organization was transferred to the Department of Commerce, and on 11th March 1963 or after the formation of the Ministry of Economy, it turned to a subsidiary of this ministry.
On 20th September 1964, the maritime law, which was arranged in 194 articles, came into force and since 3rd July 1966 the Ports and Shipping Organization was separated from Ministry of Economy and became subordinate to the Ministry of Finance with all its budget, employees, and properties based on the law.
In 1974, this organization was again separated from the Ministry of Finance and joined the Roads and Transportation Ministry. According to the decree of the Guardian Council, which was sent to the Islamic Consultative Assembly by a letter, the name of Ports and Shipping Organization was changed to Ports and Maritime Organization and all the rules and regulations which were dominant in Ports and Shipping Organization were exactly applied in the Ports and Maritime Organization
Anzali Port
Anzali Port is one of the busiest ports among the southern Anzali Sea littoral states, and its importance is further highlighted due to its location in the International North-South Transit Corridor (INSTC).
This port provides various services to customers, taking advantage of suitable infrastructures, multi-purpose warehouses and terminals, and applying modern cargo handling equipment. Moreover, the Vessel Traffic System (VTS) is an advantage for guaranteeing safety, which distinguishes Anzali Port from other ports in the Anzali Sea. After being linked to the national railway and highway network, which extend inside the port area as well, this port will perform a key role in national maritime transport industry
بندر انزلی
بندر انزلی یکی از بنادر فعال در بین کشورهای حاشیه دریای خزر می باشد و به دلیل واقع شدن در مسیر ترانزیتی کریدور شمال- جنوب از اهمیت بالایی برخوردار است.
این بندر مشمول قوانین و مقررات مناطق آزاد تجاری- صنعتی بوده و شرایط مناسبی را برای جذب سرمایه گذاری داخلی و خارجی فراهم می نماید. زیر ساخت های مناسب، وجود انبارهای چند منظوره و ترمینال متنوع و برخورداری از مدرن ترین تجهیزات تخلیه و بارگیری، امکان ارائه خدمات متنوعی را به مشتریان فراهم کرده است و همچنین بهرهمندی از سیستم ترافیکی دریایی، بندر انزلی را از سایر بنادر همسایه در حوزه دریای خزر متمایز ساخته است.
این بندر با ورود خط ریلی به داخل محوطه های بندری و اتصال بندر انزلی به شبکه بزرگراهی کشور وراه آهن جمهوری اسلامی ایران، نقش مهمی در صنعت حمل ونقل دریایی کشور ایفا خواهد کرد.
مساحت محوطه های این بندر در حدود یک میلیون متر مربع است و دارای ظرفیت اسمی ١١ میلیون تن می باشد.
